Special Inspections

The Quality Assurance Committee was established in late 2003 by the Structural Engineers Association of Alabama (SEAoAL). The primary charge to that committee by the SEAoAL Board of Directors was to establish a uniform set of forms that could be used by the industry to prepare and implement Special Inspections as required in the International Building Code.

Guidelines and forms were developed after having reviewed many different Special Inspections and Threshold Inspections plans from across the country. Our committee offers the following guidelines and forms in draft form for review and comment. Please submit proposed changes, modifications, and commentaries to Email.
